MEMBERS NEWS - Simple New Website Delivers Direct Access To Family Law In Hampshire

20 May 2015

A simple new website heralds the launch of a new local company aiming to improve access to family law courts. Hampshire Family Law is a cooperative between four experienced family law barristers who offer fixed cost, direct access to the law without the need to consult a solicitor.

Founder, Imogen Robins, said, “Many clients know precisely what they need to achieve and simply need someone to advise and represent them in court. We know that taking legal action can be daunting, especially when personal lives and family are involved. That is why we make the process as clear as possible. My three colleagues and I have successful track records in a wide range of legal cases and are all certified by the Bar Council to take on direct access cases. For simple cases, direct access can resolve the case more cheaply and faster than going through a solicitor.”

The new website,, takes the same straightforward approach. It has been created by Winchester communications consultants, 360 integrated PR. Partner, Philip Tutt said, “Hampshire Family Law is the complete antithesis to the old-fashioned, stuffy law firm – they are friendly, approachable, jargon-free and know precisely what they are doing. It’s that simplicity of approach we reflected when building their website. Now we are working on further marketing material and a purposeful communications strategy for the company.”

Direct access (often called public access) is one of the ways in which government is opening up the legal profession to increased competition and putting client interests first. It is a new way of working for both barristers and the public, so the website contains an easy to follow guide to help clients get the best out of the system.
